But ... I'm still getting this old body into bicycle shape, and I still have trouble on a couple nasty hills on my regular work commute. I have to get off and walk the bike up parts. But ... today a guy passed me up a hill while I was walking the bike up, and he was weaving back and forth using the whole road. I thought "Huh, how about that!" so I gave it a try. Sure enough, I can get up the nastiest of hills this way without dismounting! I'm thinking this is a great way to work towards being able to tackle the hills straight on, by lessening my weave over time till I'm straight up.

I'm looking forward to trying this technique on a particularly sadistic hill on my commute home today. If you don't hear from me after today, it probably has something to do with that whole "insanely dangerous" thing.
I hope there's not much traffic !
