Something unusual today. I saw a large bird standing some distance in front of me and, judging by its posture, I decided it wasn't a goose. So as I approached, I slowed down. On closer inspection it was a turkey. I was almost stopped when it started walking away from me, so I sped up again; then it started running, so I sped up some more; then it started flying (laboriously!) so I pedaled as fast as I could (also a lot of effort), and was still gaining on it when it turned off the road and disappeared. No worries, I wasn't planning to catch it or anything, just wanted a better look....
