For people like me with cursed Irish skin, pink/red blotches occur in random locations from light abrasion, exposure to heat, exposure to cold, being in the sun for 5 minutes, being in the shade for 10 minutes, allergies, rough bed sheets, cotton duck clothing, an embarrassing moment, stress, dry weather, humid weather, and occasionally just by looking at it wrong.
