I've got a Schwinn uni down in the basement ;-)

Found a couple of issues today. Got all the reflective tape off finally, then temporarily slipped some new shifter and brake cables into the old housings so I could take it for an around the block test ride. The rear deraileur is a bit loose/wobbly, chainrings are starting to look a little pointed in the teeth, and a front brake arm has the flange holding the cable hoop end ball in place has a crack in the outboard flange bit (if that description makes any sense at all). Got some thinking to do about this one....

I could look for a new or used rear der. , or play around with an internal geared hub I've had my eye on. New chainrings won't be stock but probably close enough to not matter. I'll have to rummage around for a centerpull brake arm. Thought I noticed something on the front fork ends that I'll have to look closer at. I might bring this down to the shop and get some second opinions and options. Oh well
