Back, becasue of the brake issue. Brakes will scuff up a non-machined rim and it'll look like poop.

If it's a flip/flop hub you can run this too but if you are like many people on this forum, once you ride fixed you'll never want to flip the wheel around to freewheel again. YMMV.
