The light output, quality, and overall construction of the Blackburn System X6 is pretty good. I bought these from a friend for 50 dollars, which was a great price, but for 99 I would reccommend looking at other light systems. The battery with the BBX6 is enormous, and lasts for a very short period. With both lamps on high, I don't think I would want to stay out after dark for more than an hour and a half or so. With one on high, and the other lamp on strobe, I have not run out of battery within 2.5 hours of riding. With both lamps on strobe, I'll bet you could have enough battery for a 5 hour ride, but who the heck wants to stare at everything around them flashing for that long anyway. At my LBS most people stand behind the cygolite brand name.
