Dry. No wind. Started off feeling sluggish but then for a while I was pushing around 20MPH, so I guess I warmed up.

An old couple was walking on a sidewalk that intersects the MUP. I was on the MUP, and had a stop sign, so I was slowing down anyway, for a traffic-check. Since the people were on the sidewalk, I stopped for them. The guy said, "Look at that! Isn't that nice of you to stop!" I wasn't sure what to say. I said, "I've got to stop anyway", and I pointed to the stop sign. And he said, "Well thank you!"

It's funny yet sad that people are amazed when they see a bicyclist doing the right thing.
