Ok, to me, this kind of reasoning makes sense. If you want to prevent wear and tear because it costs $$$ to replace components, ok. But to feel you have to get a beater because you fear your bike will get ripped off...eh. People shouldn't have to feel that way. In a perfect world, I guess.
