If you feel movement, the cranks are loose. I highly doubt that's the case, being so new.

The other check is to hold both crank arms again, and push on them laterally in the same direction while holding the bike frame still, like you're trying to unscrew the bottom bracket off the bottom of the frame. Look for movement... if there is the bearings are loose.
Are the bearings of the outboard sort? I have not been all that pleased with the outboard bearings on my FSA compact.
Either way the shop should be able to take care of it for you. Just explain the symptoms.
It's a Shimano 105 crankset that comes stock on the Allez Sport Compact. I'm taking it into the shop right now.
