Slightly larger overall diameter so therefore you are effectively gearing the bike up a bit.
As they are also a little wider, it takes a bit more effort to magnet the wheels together.

Thanks for that Chop. I'd be happy to have the bike geared up a tad. I still feel embarrassed to be spinning my legs like a cartoon character and travelling at ten or eleven miles an hour. I just wanted to know if I could fit B Apples and still keep the mud guards. We get two inches of rain a month on average throughout the year so I refuse to ride without them. Having a crappy strip up the middle of my arse and back is not a great look in my opinion.
