Awesome is an interesting adjective. It's an old airfield so it's PERFECTLY flat, with nasty ocean wind typically. Bumpy, sort of, mainly the seams in concrete slabs as long as you stay out of the gutters. Because it's so flat and windy, it discourages solo breaks. But a few strong guys can sometimes make a break live, otherwise, field sprint. The course for Criterium NY will be different from the usual course, so it's kind of in the air.
Yeah. People love it or hate it. Usually both.
Breaks can stick. The wind is harsh. Pack goes 18mph on side, 34 on the other... learning good pack positioning is crucial.
