Keep in mind that the Austalian health care system, and even tax situation, is quite different from that of the US.

In places like Australia and Canada, health care is free or next to it ... and you can pay a nominal fee for extended health care.

And travelling from job to job ... along the harvest trail, for example ... is a common thing. Tax is taken off your pay automatically.
