Wow, he gets $1500 for it that's some darn good resale value.
For comparison, I recently purchased a low milage Cannondale MT1000 mountain bike tandem, 1996 model, in very good condition for $600 off Craiglist. Most of it was stock, and it came with two cateye computers, newer saddles, 4 water bottle cages, bell, kickstand, and front and rear lights.
