The shifters were these really awful grip shifters that I grew to hate in the 90s. My friend took them off my hands for $10. Along with the LX fr der. I've got a geared mtn bike, I was looking to set up a SS.
You can call it what you will but at least I didn't cut the braze ons off or hack the frame up.
