Sure a carbon frame bike will do a lot of good if you're hit by lightening. It will melt you and the bike together. For those that like to be one with the bike this could be the ultimate oppurtunity to do so.
lightning will also melt aluminum, titanium or even your beloved steel.
also, to other posters, if you've ever seen cars that were hit by lightning, their non-conducting rubber tires are melted and burned by the strike. So don't count on tires (or tennis shoes) for safety.
