ok so this isn't exactly a true conversion...XT rear der used as chain tensioner. I'm on a budget right now though and plan on truly converting it down the road. I bought this bianchi off a guy who road it once or twice. Paid $100 for it. Tires were rotted from storage. New tires, tubes, new grips....put me at $135. Question, is there a common tool that can remove the crank besides a crank puller? I'd rather not buy tools.
If those are genuine early XT cranks don't screw them up. As much as I like MTB conversions, that bike is worth too much to mess with. It's a fairly rare all XT MTB. IMO, put it back to original. Sell it and buy a new ride.
