Go to Half Price books, Look for Eugene Sloane's Complete Book of Bicycle Maintenance
copyright 1981 (I saw one for $5.98 NOS), and learn to service it yourself. May cost
you for some tools (can anyone have too many tools?), but servicing your bike is
not all that difficult. It is also infinitely more satisfying knowing you did it yourself.
Bicycling's book of Bike maintenance is also good but is more modern than the
sloane book so may have new ERGO and STI instead of friction shifting.
