To be honest, I've never had a problem installing them. What I have had an issue with is trying to remove them after a customer has shredded them beyond recognition...with or without the proper tool. Yes, facing has nothing to do with the non-drive cup if it doesn't bottom out against the shell. Chasing the threads (which would be part of any facing job) has everything to do with how well the threads are aligned from side to side and how easy the cup will thread in.
