I have those exact bars, but I've only used them once. I didn't want to spend much money for my starter road bike, and for $50 from the LBS they fit the bill.

I've been out of town a lot lately, so I only have one ride with them so far. That was on the road heading back from the LBS after buying them, and like you I plan to use them mostly on the trainer. I figured they would be uncomfortable until I got used to them, but they weren't bad at all. Then again, I only used them for a few minutes at a time, because I didn't want to be on the aeros when there were cars around while they were still new to me.

There are a lot better bars out there, but for the money I think they're a great deal.
