See if the back rim has any knurling on it, and what brand is the rear hub? Also, where the chain stays are joined to the bottom bracket(pedal bearing area). Does it have smooth rings, or are they rough looking? The color is "Kool Lemon" btw.,,,,BD
I just saw your post & I did find similar info but not too much on this.
I have to think you're right but this bike looks like its had 10 winters in NY

I paid too much
I feel so bad
Guess stupid buying a bike on a whim

Money is real tight too.

Do you think if he'll do it its better to trade him for the other one I looked at if he wants too...A GT Vertigo.
It seemed to have prig parts & I know thats 90 or 2000's b ut least it wasn't rusty.
Still cranks felt better on this one
The bike rides decent but I paid almost $100 for a rust bucket with no value as its not collectible esp as this onw would take too much to fix right

OOOH I feel awful

I'll have to ask him for the other bike & I have to put this one together

This is my 2nd all nighter doing bike research & I bought a rusty "Lemon"

Well I laughed
