I wear Shimano sport shoes and Keen commuters however, I am wondering if the shoe is the problem. Your wife can put insoles or orthoditics in the shoes for comfort but she may need to see a doctor about this problem. I have sciatica, tendonitis and itbs in one leg. The first place to feel pain is my foot around mile 20 or so.
