Hi Sam, welcome to bikeforums, I just joined myself. I live in Christiansburg and my wife and I ride the Huckleberry a lot. She just bought a road bike after realizing that a hybrid was not for her. We both bought bikes in February, first we have owned in ten years. I'm still happy with my mb but have been looking for a road bike as well. I've learned that you can research road bikes on the internet until your head explodes and be no closer to making a decision. It is my habit to over-research until confusion anyway. On that note, I would suggest the Shimano M520 SPD pedals. I looked for weeks at online reviews and finally decided on a set of these.
