Century yesterday only had 5k of climbing, but some really stellar views along the NY/CT border. Part of the fun is seeing different places and varying terrain.

At Indy, did they have something on TV on jumbo-trons surrounding the course? Something like a Monty Python marathon running on the TV's would at least give you something to do as you turn lap after lap.

Unrelated story: my hoops team in Jr. High had a bad free throw shooting game. The next practice, everyone shot 10 free throws. For each miss, you got 2 laps. So you'd shoot, run, shoot again, run again. I think I ran about 5 miles that night...all in laps around the gym. Woulda been better if the coach just sent us outside in the middle of winter and told us to run one lap around town for the same distance. BTW, I was a crappy free throw shooter.

No movies.. I guess you just had to be there.
