First of all, your original post NEVER mentioned that you had a broken shifter. If you want to replace the shifters you have with the Ultegras, be my guest. I still wouldn't go through the exercise of switching over the whole gruppo, especially since you are going to replace the whole bike in a few months anyway. Use what you need and put the rest back on eBay. You may even wind up getting the shifters for nothing when all is said and done. As I said earlier, the difference in performance isn't worth the effort or expense.
