I love Michigan. We do get hot humid summers, but it's bearable. We get some days over 100 degrees F. I've never had a day I couldn't ride because of the heat. If anything, I think it would get too hot for me to drive my car sooner than ride my bike. My car's AC is broken, and even with the windows all down it gets unbearably hot in there. Being surrounded by metal with no air hitting you directly really sucks.

Just gotta remember to always apply sunscreen.
