Back in the Saddle After Two Years

Wow, odd to be back on this forum, but thought that I may find some motivation. Completed California King of the Mountains in 2007. After that, I had a list of excuses: just got engaged, wedding planning, work, burned out, etc. After my wedding in 2008, I bought a new Kestrel and had all intentions of getting back in that saddle, but it lasted two days. Now, 40 pounds heavier, and feeling much older than my 34 years, I have to get back on because it was my best health and stress tool and I miss it.

Has anyone gone through this? It is a mental block that I was at the top of my game two long years ago and now I am heavier and cannot climb those So Cal mountains like I used to at my willing. Any advice would be great and much appreciated.
