Help Swapping Seatposts
I figured I'd get better input on here, so here goes.
I'd been using a cannondale C3 infinite adjustability seatpost I really like, and I just recently bought a thomson masterpiece post with setback using the cash I got from selling my straight masterpiece.
I have 2 flite saddles, one's a vanadium one, and the other's a ti saddle. I'm running the vanadium one on my Cannondale post, and I've become incredibly accustomed to the fit on that. Yes, I don't want to change anything. Surprise surprise.
So now, I've installed the flite ti on the masterpiece setback post, but I'm aware that the setback of the 2 posts are different. I couldn't find the setback of the C3 post anywhere...
My LBS helped me out since I don't have a level, and set the new post/saddle combo to the same level as the old one. Measured saddle tip to stem and from saddle to bb on my 'good' setup, and then set up the new post/saddle combo the same way.
I went out for a ride, and all systems were go. I felt okay, though i felt that I might have been a little further back on the saddle. I came home and measured the distance from the saddle tip to the top tube, and it's 1 cm higher on the new setup.
I'm not quite sure how to set it up to match, since I've been doing well with the old setup and I don't want to eff it up. I'm not going to change anything with the old setup, and everything is marked by sharpies, but I really want to get the new setup to match!
