My ride was very, very soggy. The rain here in DC had pretty much stopped by the time I left, but when I got to the Northwest Branch trail, I found that all the rain that fell during the night was just making it into the river! Two of the culverts that the trail crosses usually have about an inch or two of water in them, but today, it was about 2 feet! I put my pannier on my handle bars and rode through, but my feet were soaked. Hopefully, not too much water got into my nexus hub, but I know it was submerged on both crossings. Ugh... I rode exclusively on the roads on my way home.
