Plastic saddles don't break in. A leather saddle like a Brooks breaks in / molds to your butt. Fizik saddles do break down and go soft after awhile, I've given up on them after 2 Arione and 2 Aliante. There comfortable and firm at first but after less than a season for me there shot.

And Clausen, I was actually referring to getting my butt used to it (vs. the saddle I've been riding), getting it just the right place, and trying out & getting the most out of all the design features of the saddle. You know, riding it long, hard, and right..... really "breaking it in" to my rides.
Finally, as for bumping this thread vs. starting a new one or bumping one of the other 1,000 Arione threads, this one had the most generic thread title and seemed to be just about the saddle and not about "which one should I buy" or whatever. Sorry if it confused any of you or came off as "antics". We only "touch" our bikes in three places, right? (well, except umd maybe). Just dropping in my excited 2 cents on a saddle I just mmm.... mounted & rode (sounds pretty hawt).
