Not a lot of love for downtube shifters. Highly unexpected!

Like:

+Riding solo
+Group rides with friends or just general good company. Just having a good time
+Decorative head badges
+Leather saddles, wrap, everything
+Swap meets
+1 on the getting the shifting just perfect on friction shifters.
+Being able to revive a 35+ year old bike
+C&V community

Dislike:

-Carbon fiber. I appreciate the advance in materials/technology, but I dislike the overall aesthetic.
-Huge honking decals with no rhyme or reason aside from making you cycling billboard
-Overly competitive cyclists. I love competition, but thinking you're cool by hitting 35 MPH on a shared trail with pedestrians and casual cyclists is just... ugh.
