For an exact answer to your question, without trial and error, take the bike to your local shop for help. Numbers on bike tires don't tell the whole story, as standardization across manufacturers is a bit muddled. Same as with frame sizes. My XRs have a larger foot print than my Continentals of the same size designation. You rim xsection also plays a role on how big a tire you should mount.
