Thanks for the help. I found the SRAM powerlink locally for my 9 speed and got a chain tool. Was able to replace the link without much effort.
Yea the chainrings can be quite expensive new for the XT class. Been eyeing some used ones on ebay, hell some whole crank sets used are better deals. Either way the chain ring tooth isn't as crucial as the chain link was.
Before I forget, what are some popular bike parts retailers (online)? Most reputable with fair prices.
