You can't really expect to get a used a saddle very quickly. On top of that, there are minute adjustments that can be made that can take time and many tides to figure out. My saddle finally got its final position after 500+ miles.

However, that plus side is that once you get a saddle you like, you will never "downgrade" accidentally because IME, saddles with similar thickness,cushioning, shape, and grooves ride pretty similar. All my saddles resemble the SI SLR Tri/TT saddle.
