My Easton EA90 Aeros are really pretty quiet compared to the Record hubs/Open Pros they replaced. Now THOSE wheels got some noise going on!

Interesting timing, this thread, as I broke a rear drive side spoke on the Aeros, and re-mounted the Open Pros as a backup wheelset. They feel so plush and comfy in comparison, not as stiff and jarring as the Eastons... just a world of difference.

I'm actually tempted to just ride those instead of fixing the Eastons. Unfortunately, they also feel heavier and not as aero- slower to spin up, harder to keep going on the flats.

Do aero clinchers have to be so stiff? Is it possible to have aero and comfy?
