FWIW, I remember hearing on the Two John's Cycling Podcast that a lot of people are having trouble with the SRAM Red front derailleur, including a team that removed all of them after having to send a few frames back - (the thing over/undershifts, the chain jams and as the cranks go around it rips the whole derailleur and its braze on fitting right off the frame!).

Do some research on that and/or send SRAM an email to see if they have an update or solution for it.
