Everyday in the sane sense of, "this is a well-built general purpose road wheel"?

No carbon
No ultra-thin spokes
No low spoke counts
No ultra light rims
No radial lacing

I'd say a good Shimano Ultegra, Dura-Ace, Campy Record, DT 240, CK, or similar hub laced to an Open Pro or DT 1.1 with DT comp spokes. Anything like that can be built and repaired easily and cheaply.

Bonus - at this point, you'll have high quality non-proprietary hubs that can be used for a long time to come.
