There would be plenty of room in the Basil Mirte for that. I primarily use only one bag to hold my clothes, wallet, odds and ends, etc. I take the other only if I'm planning to do shopping or bring more than the usual to or from work. Last week I forgot to bring the second bag, and had enough room in one bag for a shoebox in addition to all my normal stuff.

Of course, this flexibility comes at a price, since the bag has only one big pocket it can take some rummaging around to find my wallet. I've been thinking of keeping a purse inside the bag, but that can take up a lot of dead space.
