Carbohydrates fuel the endurance athlete and cycling is mostly that.
Ford - I'd recommend 90-120' gentle recovery pace rides on the non-race days. That way you are staying in mode for the following day. Taking a full rest day ends up shutting most peoples systems down. You may be different, but I doubt it.
And lots of fruit/glycogen replacing fuel.
nothing better than having enough races, that you rarely have to "train".
