Thanks all for the moral support!

I will climb Whiteface soon. BTW - I do have one picture before the race with my daughter, I'll post it later since it was asked. As I said - the mountain was socked in so pictures would not have been impressive - and who wants pictures of a flat tire?

The issue with a new Gatorskin is that it goes on so tight I usually pinch the tube. After being worked a bit it stretches just enough to seat properly without pinching. I fixed it again Sunday and road 30 miles on it. Wheels & rim tape are fine. Once on properly they give me no problems.

The problem with the patch was that in my rush to get going I did not let the glue dry long enough before applying the patch. It also turned out there were two other small holes in it as well - so one would not have done the trick. I cut that tube in half and threw it away.
