@ clifton, the gatonskin is nominally a 180 tpi threadcount but it's misleading and not directly comparable to other manufacturers as they triple up on the casing material at 60 tpi each.
That being the case, I'll rescind my tpi justification.
My comments about tread pattern and pinch-flat protection still stand.
