This happened to me on a solo ride. I couldn't figure out why this particular climb that I do frequently felt so difficult.

The tire wore the paint off the inside of the chainstay. I suppose I'm lucky the tire didn't blow out on me.

Anyway, it sucks when it's happening but very relieving when you find out why you were so slow - after you get done calling yourself an idiot of course.
