i really dont want to buy from dx or kd because it seems decent amount of people end up modding their lights to make them work.

im thinking about just paying 270 for a niterider trinewt.

you have the mte, correct?

The trinewt is a solid light, don't waste your time paying extra for the wireless model, it is just a waste of money, you usually will keep it in high mode all the time anyway.. Just as a side note all the P7 lights I have are just a tad brighter than the trinewt which is rated just under 500 lumens.. The low mode does offer a very long burn time right under 7 hours..

SB has a new MC-e dual cell light that looks interesting, since you were planning on mounting a light that size anyway.. give it a look..
