Hello,

I've been lurking and reading a lot on this forum. You guys have great forum so I usually just read and learn. However, I finally have a question that I can't get answers to by simply reading. I currently ride a Trek 3900 with slick tires. I picked it up used and slapped on the slick tires to see if I would like riding. And turns out I love it. I've now taken it out for many 20-30 mile rides, one 50 mile ride and two 60 miles rides. And I've realized that to keep riding far I simply need a road bike. My brother-in-law's friend is selling a 2004 S-Works Tarmac E5 Frameset. He said he'd sell it to me for $600 and I'm going to see if he's willing to assemble it after I purchase the components. The guy has assembled all his bikes for many years and also assembled my bro-in-law's bike so I'm sure he knows what he's doing.
