I have these in 700 and 26. Nice tires,but no puncture resistance. I've actually never flatted them,but I've also never used them for commuting. And I think the OP wanted to stay with wider tires.

Pretty sure they're 2". Def wider than the 1.75" Adventures I had on two years ago and about the same size as the 1.95" Crossroads I had on last winter. I
really like them. Tons of grip and I don't have to be so careful in the rain.
