Cateye lamps fitted to my Brompton.

The front is a Cateye TL-LD150 http://www.cateye.com/en/product_detail/320 and I removed the Brompton reflector and used the bracket to mount the included optional clothing/belt clip. I cut down the head of a small bolt so that the lamp would slide onto the bracket. I added some araldite epoxy glue. The lamp does not get in the way of my S-Type front bag.

On the rear is a Cateye TL-LD610 mounted to the existing bracket (Brompton reflector removed) with the optional plastic bracket http://www.cateye.com/store/parts.php?cid=3_113 (fourth item down page). I did need to bend the metal bracket slightly in order to get the lamp lined up at a good angle. I used a couple of flat washers to space the plastic Cateye bracket forward off the metal Brompton reflector bracket just so there was enough room to operate the release lever.

As you can see, I have fitted some new skate wheels from a UK e-bay seller. (Now replaced with http://www.brompfication.com/24-easy-wheels.html) The lamp does clear the brake calliper and does not touch the floor with the Brompton “parked” or folded.

Bruce, my Boarder Terrier is forever trying to get involved and likes to help out... here he is checking out the folding pedal

It is easy enough to remove the lamps and refit the reflectors if you ever wanted to go back to factory spec. Theses LEDs are just to make me visable to other road users. For night riding alone unlit roads I will fit one of my ECD surefire torches to the handlebars using a Two-fish lockblok.
