It should work as a great motivator. Work hard to get faster and give it a go. When you go again in a few weeks and get dropped..... just try and go farther before that happens. Repeat. Before you know it you will be riding much faster than now.

That's the plan. I just hit my first two goals of the year. I wanted to get 500 miles before July and 100 in a week, knocked them both this week. The last 7 weeks have had 4 trips to New Orleans for family functions, so lost 15 days of riding, then before that a bike/dog accident - so hopefully I can stay on the roads for the next few months and really pick up the miles and drop some weight.
