Oh, and I would not ride in the city at night if you do not know the neighborhood. Had some bad experiences. Drive the routes first if you can, slowly, when you would be going into work and returning from it. Rolling stops for red lights in questionable areas, and don't get waved down for the life of you. Sure, it might be an honest question, but it might be a lot more than you bargained for as well.
