Miura has just replied to a thread you have subscribed to entitled - What Tubing? - in the Classic & Vintage forum of Bike Forums. This thread is located at:
http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...2&goto=newpost Here is the message that has just been posted:***************I measured the seatpost when I received the frame with the orange color, without a bolt. It might be the paint's thickness. Now I'll have to check if the seatpost is actually 27.2 or not. This isn't a pre-war frame, the new Cinelli BB logo indicates that it's made after 1973, probably 80s. The track bars are a 2007 replica of Major Taylor's bars from the 30s. I tried to mention that I'm planning to build a long wheelbased frame with pre-war characteristics like Brooks Swallow, Major Taylor drops, Velocity Deep-V in wood fashion, white tubes, steel crankset etc. Then the stem and drops will be moved to that bike. The stem is from Kenneth Alan's Moyer track bike, got it via eBay in immaculate condition. I had an early 151 BCD Campagnolo Pista cranset too, but sold it to a friend, who was restoring a Cinelli Pista frame from the 60s. May be I shouldn't... That bike is nowhere near complete.***************
So why should I delete my post when Miura agrees with basically what I said? Why did Miura delete his post?
