Ok, I got those Shimano pulleys in the mail today. After 3.5 hours of trial and error I managed to get them to fit with some very nonstandard hardware. They worked great! I made it almost a quarter block before my chain snapped. All of the gears were solid and in line, the tension on the chain wasn't to high and I'm no power house. Pretty sure it was just the 40 year old chain. I still need a front derailleur though, Clamp on, preferably simplex. I'd like to "restore" this bike, but I'd really like to ride it. I will keep looking myself but if anyone has some spare parts lying around I would appreciate any assistance. Thanks to all!
