I should have clarified that. A "cool" restaurant, to me, is one that has outdoor seating, a place to park bikes, a very relaxed dress code, and plain, inexpensive food - with vegetarian options. (Chipotle is my favorite restaurant in the world.)

Anyway, from what I've read, Roosevelt Island is not exactly Restaurant Row. But I hear there are places by the waterside for a picnic. Perhaps we'll just brown-bag it.
